2008 REGION 5 POPULARITY POLL RESULTS
128 out of 821 members completed the 2006 Popularity Poll Ballot. The top 5 cultivars that will be eligible for exhibition in the Popularity Poll Section of the 2006 daylily shows in Georgia are:

H. ‘Mary’s Gold’ (Tet) comes in first . The big 6 ½” flowers and the bold brilliant gold color of this McDonell cultivar makes it a standout wherever it is grown. Like Bubbling Edge and all the other cultivars in the top five, it is a great grower and a consistent excellent performer.
H. ‘Orange Velvet’ (Dip). What more can be said about this fantastic Joiner cultivar that was last years top vote getter. The soft orange polychrome color is so distinctive and so appealing. None’s garden should be without this wonderful daylily.
H. ‘Bubbling Edge’ (Tet), Ted Collins’ great 5” bright light tan daylily with pink highlights and a stunning wine eye and edge, again tops the list after slipping last year to number 3. This perennial favorite daylily has impeccable plant habits as well as beautiful blooms. No wonder it always polls so high.
H. ‘Just for Breakfast' (Tet), Threewitt's 1994 3" lemon yellow/green throat daylily is always a winning addition to any garden. This little daylily stands 22" tall and is an early-midseason repeating bloomer.
H. ‘J.T.Davis' (Tet), Larry Grace's 1999 winning introduction has a 5" bloom that is a light yellow pink blend with a yellow ruffled edge above a green throat. This daylily stands 24" tall and is a mid season repeat bloomer. JT Davis makes it to Region 5's list for the first time.
